  • Information pertinent to your enquiry, such as the type of project, word count, where the work is to be published etc.

All personal data are treated with utmost confidentiality and will never be shared with a third-party.

Why do I collect these data from you?

The personal information I collect is provided to me directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • To respond to a request regarding my availability, services and rates

  • To allow me to contact you if I have any queries while working on a project with you

What do I do with the data I collect?

I use the information provided by you for the following purposes:

  • For my workflow processes, so that I can track the work I am doing and create invoices

  • To contact you with any queries

  • For compliance with the UK tax authority (HMRC) should it request an audit

Many of my clients are ongoing. Therefore, I do not delete data unless specifically requested to do so.

I do not share your personal data with anyone, except with HMRC if they undertake an audit of my business.

I collect and store minimal personal data from you, for the purposes of accounting and for contacting you. I will NEVER share or sell these data to any third parties.


I take the confidentiality of my clients’ work extremely seriously – I previously worked in public health where I managed and analysed large, named-patient datasets – I know the importance of confidentiality!

  • Files that I work on are stored on a password-protected computer

  • Files are securely stored in Dropbox

  • I am happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA)

  • I may ask you for permission to list your published article in my portfolio if no NDA has been signed
